                                  Interesting Observation
Although it was believed that less than 1,000 of the Series I Manhattan
Pocket pistols were manufactured, the speciment on the previous page is
serial numbered 1030, thus forcing a reassessment of the serial range first
suggested by Waldo Nutter in 1958. The pistol also has a mis-strike of the
serial number on the back of the cylinder as shown in the center image on the
photograph.
    A Transitional Series I Manhattan with Series II Characteristics
The next three photographs show a Manhattan Pocket with a serial number in
the middle of the Series I production run, yet it has the larger Series II style
grips.
